Tom McClintock For Congress

Sen. Tom McClintock campaigned in Susanville this morning, having a breakfast with local residents at the Sage Hen Restaurant. More than a hundred people, a record turnout, showed up and filled in the restaurant to capacity, taking over the entire restaurant.

Speaking before the enthusiastic crowd, Sen. McClintock spoke to the need to restore to Congress the traditional Republican values of limited government, fiscal responsibility and individual liberty to Washington DC. He also addressed local issues concerning water and land rights issues.

A local supporter who was at the breakfast said, “It would be a welcome relief to know that at least our congressman knows ‘where the bread comes from’ to begin with.” At the end of the breakfast he told Sen. McClintock that, “You have my vote.”

This first stop in Susanville will be the first in many campaign stops throughout the district as he campaigns throughout the 4th congressional district.
