Press ReleasesOutstanding Turnout in Alturas for McClintock

Sen. Tom McClintock was greeted by more than 75 people on Good Friday at an event hosted by the Modoc County Republican Party.   The Brass Rail Restaurant in Alturas was filled to capacity by McClintock supporters.

Joining McClintock was Modoc County Supervisor Pat Cantrall, Supervisor Mike Dunn, and Modoc County Republican Party Chairman Geri Byrne; all of whom have endorsed Sen. McClintock’s campaign for Congress.

Sen. McClintock spoke about the need to restore the principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, and individual liberty to Congress. After a short speech, he field questions from the audience for over an hour. The topics ranged from protecting water rights to defending the 2nd Amendment.

Geri Byrne, Modoc County Republican Party Chairman, said “This is one of the best turnouts I have ever seen for a political campaign event in Modoc. The residents of Modoc County are hungry for real conservative leadership and Tom McClintock is that person.”

The Alturas event followed Wednesday’s successful event in Susanville at which more than 100 people attended.
